The Lok Sabha will commence its proceedings on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with obituary references to former MPs Shibu Soren, Tilakdhari Prasad Singh, and Ram Rati Bind.

Following the tributes, the House is scheduled to take up several significant legislative matters.

Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will move amendments to the National Anti-Doping Act, 2022 for consideration and passage. He will also introduce the National Sports Governance Bill, 2025, which aims to promote sports, ensure welfare for sportspersons, uphold ethical and fair practices in line with the Olympic and Paralympic Charters, and create mechanisms for resolving sports-related grievances effectively.

Additionally, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will present amendments to the Readjustment of Representation of Scheduled Tribes in Assembly Constituencies of the State of Goa Bill, 2024. The bill seeks to enable ST reservation in line with Article 332 of the Constitution by adjusting seats based on the inclusion of new communities in the Scheduled Tribes list in Goa.

Union Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal is also set to move the Merchant Shipping Bill, 2024, which seeks to update and consolidate India’s maritime laws to comply with international treaties, promote growth in the shipping sector, and modernize the Indian mercantile marine framework.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Amar Singh and BJP MP Nishikant Dubey will table reports from the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on various subjects. These include updates on government action taken in response to previous recommendations related to:

  • Misappropriation of funds in the Department of Posts
  • Operationalisation of Sagar Prahari Bal
  • Indo-Nepal Border Road Project
  • Manpower and logistics management in Delhi Police

The House will address this full legislative agenda amid ongoing political tensions and opposition protests on other issues.
